Presenters

  • Robert Fraik
    • Bob was born and raised in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Graduated from Western Michigan University with a B.S. Degree in Paper Technology with minors in Chemistry and Business, initial jobs were in paper research. The balance of career was as technical manager in the manufacture of printing and writing paper. As such, he was able to witness the decline in demand for these papers as communication shifted to the Internet. Since retirement Bob has worked to develop a process whereby the “average person” can learn to harness the new technologies for their personal use. Bob currently lives on Bainbridge Island with his wife. He has four adult children, one living on Bainbridge Island. His mission is to encourage people to record their historic stories in a useful format.

He has been active in genealogical research for 30 years and currently serves as the Director of the Silverdale Family History Center.
  • PaulaAnn Miller
    • I was born asking questions about my family and got in a lot of trouble. Those questions paid off, however, when I joined the Church in 1976.  The only member in my family, I have searched diligently for my ancestors, linked them into families, and had their ordinances performed for them, so we could be families forever.  I am currently a Ward Family History Consultant in the Port Orchard area and a Family History Missionary.  I LOVE family history and serving my fellow man!!
  • Joleen Aitchison

She teaches family history locally in Kitsap, Jefferson, and Clallam counties; as well as making presentations for the Bainbridge Island and Clallam County genealogical societies. She is currently serving as Director of the Poulsbo Family History Center and as a FamilySearch Support missionary. You can find her blog at yourpedigree.blogspot.com.

Following that pattern, Anita has continued researching her ancestors. In collaboration with her brother, Anita has authored a book.
